Product Incorrectly Classified – Causing Major Sales Loss

Hello everyone,

I’ve been selling a product for several months as New, with around 400 units sold per month. However, I recently received a message saying my product is now classified under:

  • rp_3p_offer in conditions: New, Used, Refurbished, Collectible

  • Or under Beauty category in conditions: Used, Refurbished, Collectible

This is incorrect.

My product:

Is not part of the rp_3p_offer program

Is not listed under Beauty as used/refurbished

Has always been listed as New and is a brand-new item

Due to this misclassification, customers can no longer buy my item, and this is causing a major loss for my business.

Has anyone experienced this before?

What is the best way to escalate this to the correct Amazon team for urgent correction?

Thank you in advance for any help.

Best regards,

I take it Sakkal is a brand you control? Do you have brand registry?

When I check the ASIN, it's showing as currently unavailable. Do you have a listing for it in your inventory manager right now?

If so, I'm wondering if it's been blocked due to the bladed items policy being applied/misapplied to it.

Did you receive a performance notification about this ASIN?

So you currently don't have any offers in your inventory for it? Or do you have some, but they're being blocked?

I suspect this might be due to a misapplication of the bladed items policy, since the product is a shavette (foldable barber razor) — but it is sold without any blades, and should be fully compliant with Amazon’s policies.

The bladed items policy is sometimes flagged by bots, so it happens that permitted products are deactivated sometimes. The issue is that if you haven't been informed that that's the reason, you're going to struggle to appeal it.

Is there anything in your performance notifications about this ASIN?

If it is the bladed item policy, then I would have thought you wouldn't be able to place an offer for used or refurbished, either though. Might be worth trying to list one of those conditions just to see if it lets you. If it does, I think there must be a different problem.
